Gentlemen,

Due to repeated request on the Su-34 45 amp ESC programming procedure. We have asked for the info and freewing has send us the esc programming procedure manual. However due to file type we are unable to post it here, we will however be more than happy to send the word file to all who request for it. A copy of the procedure will be included in all our Su-34s.

Just send a request to aerosmith_hobby@yahoo.com.sg

cheers

Is the Freewing SU-34 twin edf the same SU-34plane that HOBBY LOBBY is selling?

Hi, would like to feedback on the the blue version bought recently.

2 issues:

1)When check tested on the Aileron Servos( both left and right) individually, each of the servos function alright. However, when connected each of the servos to the lead coming coming out from the fuselage, both servos encountered "jittery/shivering effect". >:(

Repeated tests shown that the aileron servos when connected to an extension(either a Y-harness or merely an extension cord) resulted in servo having "jittery/shivering effect". :'(

What can I do to eradicate this issue? Was it a due to faulty pre-installed servos ? Pls advise.

2) Landing gear servos were having similar effect when the landing gears are in retracted position. However, it is normal when the landing gears are down. :-[

What're the likely causes ? :'(

Need your assistance urgently.

Thank you.

Gentlemen,

We have gone down to pick up the plane, firstly, Soh did a really good job putting her together, she is a true beauty.

On first troubleshoot, it was really strange, the servo jitters only with some kind of extention, if plug directly to receiver it seems fine. Check and reinspected the servo connectors, nil joy. Further check, suspected electronic damage within servos as the jitter becomes worse if connceted in parallel (y harness). Only isolated to ailerons, the elevators and TV were fine.

Further trouble shooting found the y harness and connectors were all good.

Finally decided to change the servos.
During the servo change realised the cause of the problem, The servo hinges had residue glue left in it during assembly causing the aileron to be very stiff. The stiffness overheated the servos during the first cycle causing electronic damage to the servos making it very sensitive to voltage and/or resistance.

Took some time to free the hinges and grease them, with change of servo now they worked fine, loaded the aileron with some weights and excercise the aileron for 15 minutes using the tx cycle function, they work fine.

The retracts slight jitter was the consequence of the aileron servos as well, with the new servos, no jitters from any servos were observed.

As a consequense, we opened up a few new su-34 to see if we would find the same problem, but we found none. May be its just a once of case, nonetheless, from now on, we will inspect all the hinges of new kits during ESC pre-programming before shipping out.

Cheers
