NEW B787 « Thread Started on Jun 6, 2009, 9:46am »
Hello,
With the recent advancement in electric RC, EDF jets have become common and reliable, fun and convenient. The increase in Power to weight ratio has opened new envelope of electric flight performance. It is fairly common to have electric edf jets that fly around well over 100km/h.
As with flying jets, the electric revolution has also made airliners, powered with edf a reality. A brief search in youtube, one would find multiple hits on edf powered A380 or B727. The flight performance is nothing short of amazing. As a matter of fact, pilots find themselves pulling back on the throttle to achieve more scale flying.
We would like to promote this new exciting trend by introducing Windrider B787. It is without a doubt, the most scale foamy airliner there is. With Windrider's experience developing the A380, the current B787 has many technological advancements and since it is design as a possible slope soarer, the airframe is clean, strong and durable.
Having possible modification into EDF in mind, this model comes with scale landing gears as an option. In spite of incorporating spring struts and carbon beam, the combined weight of all 3 gear assemblies is only 98g.
This Product is a kit. The airframe is broken into subassembly that would make modification and incorporation of EDF, lighting and retracts easy. Injection plastic pieces are included for scale wing tips and flap fairings.
We would like to recommend this kit to intermediate to advance builder and flyers. Recommended EDF is between the range of 55mm to 75mm.
Price: 299 sgd (206 usd) airframe kit only 149 sgd (99 usd) scale landing gears (not including retracts mechanism)
