Dear all, I am another new kid...bought a SKY 3845..tried flying but went down 3times without even airborn for 1 sec ..now with a broken rudder.. Please help to guide me as to where can buy spares. And also how to fly. Thanks.

Hey bro, were you the one @ Pungol field(off church) last Sunday. I think it was you..you plane looked great but as you say..sad to see it go down only..don't be upsat..there r lots of great guys here who will help you out. I'll be there this Sunday from Pungol Marina in Red Mazda 7. Check you out.

Hi, can I also join your gang. I wld wanna buy and fly too. Me 2 live in Pungol...Edgedale Plains. How about this Sunday at the field? Maybe with that Mazda friend too. Hoho..looks like we can start a Pungol Flying Club soon..Seletar Airport is very near to us too!!

hi all! i'm also a newbie in RC flying.
i stay in sengkang & i do know there's such an open field where quite a number of flyers gather during sundays.
i made a small switch from 1/24 car modeling to try out RC electric flyers. my first bird intended is a ST model cessna 182 wif futaba 6exap super tx .
i'm not alienated by building a RC model from scratch as i've more than 30 years of scratchbuilding 1/24 ferraris in me. i have a few questions to ask, is this the right place to find answers?
please advise!
1) lipo battery. what's the diff between 1000mah 30C & 2200mah 15C both 11.1v?
2) can a 6channel tx from X brand uses a 9channel rcv from brand Y?
3) for brushless motor upgrade, must it be done together with a esc & servo upgrades?
4) what's bec in a esc?
5) can a 6 channel tx handle 9 servos at one go?
6) how to calculate just how much of ampere is needed for my esc upgrade?
7) how to calculate just how much of motor power is needed for my bird upgrade?
8) can i mod a 2blade prop setup into a 3blade one just like that?
9) let's say i wanna add flaps, lights, aerial cam & retracts...how do i know if my esc or bec or motor power can handle all these?
10) if the min required lipo for the bird is stated as '1800mah 3S 20C 11.1v', does it mean i can stay up there longer if i put a '3600mah 6S 40C 22.2v'.
11) or does it mean i can stay up there longer if i put 2 lipo cells of the same rating via a switch that turn the next battery on when the forst one runs out...something like that?
12) servos, does buying this item relies on the weight of the bird or the function it is assigned to? like flaps & retracts need heavy duty, elevator rudder or light need mini type?
13) what is 72 or 29 mhz in a tx compared to a 2.4ghz type? does the average tx do frequency scanning on the flying area before we hook it up & fly?
14) or how do we know if we are not interfering with other flyers' frequency?
15) hi / lo in a tx. is this a form of slowing down the response of the servos in the bird? or is there such a item to do that?
16) in sgp are we in mode 1 or mode 2?
17) how to read the specs of a motor, like 'BL Motor C18-20-16 1650kv'?
18) what happens if we upgrade a stock RTF bird with a big powerful motor?
19) how do we know if the new upgrade 'A' motor will work with the 'B' rcv & the 'C' servos?
20) how many types of foan materials are there? EPP, EPO?
21) what are the control horns & clevises?
22) what's a filament tape & its use for?
23) being a beginner, is there any way that can reinforced my foamie to near indistructable state!?
24) what's a ubec?
25) rcv battery pack? is this the same motor battery pack or another battery?
26) what's a crystal in a tx?
27 how can a 4channel tx be controlling a 6channel rcv?
